Your help is needed at Naturalization Ceremonies on Fridays! Help us register new voters!
Last year leading up to the 2014 election, we registered over 7,000 New Americans at naturalization ceremonies. Volunteers are needed on Fridays to help us with this initiative. Please volunteer if you can!
There will be THREE (3) ceremonies on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 7:30 AM, 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM at USCIS in Tucker, GA. Are YOU able to volunteer with us any of those times on Friday? Let us know by sending an email to samuel@2014old.galeo.org t confirm your participation. Please let us know which ceremony you can volunteer with us and please provide your cell phone number too. We will follow up with you with more details once you confirm. Feel free to invite friends too!

GALEO is seeking College Interns for Spring & Summer 2015!
Interested in working on immigration reform and voter engagement in Georgia? GALEO seeks undergraduate or graduate students every semester (Spring, Summer & Fall) for several part-time internships in community relations and administrative support. All student interns will be required to work a minimum of 10-15 hours per week and work directly with the Executive Director and Program Manager on a variety of important duties.

2015 Cesar Chavez Essay Contest for Adults & High School Students in Georgia
The goal of this contest is to increase awareness of the continual plight of farm workers and their contributions to America while honoring civil rights legend Cesar Chavez.
All high school students and adults (18+ in age) in the state of Georgia are encouraged to participate and submit their essays for entry. Categories include:Adult (essay may be submitted in English or Spanish); High School Student (essay may be in English or Spanish);
and the newest category for ESOL High School Students (essays submitted in English by ESOL students).
1st Prize for the adult category includes an iPad mini compliments of Telemundo Atlanta! More prizes will be added soon.
The winners of the three categories above will read their winning essays at the State Capitol on Tuesday, March 31st 2015 at our 8th Annual Cesar Chavez Ceremony at the Capitol.
