This week is the last week for Early Voting! Have you voted yet? Lots of Georgians have taken advantage of EARLY VOTING and have already cast their ballot! Go VOTE early before Friday, then #PostThePeach!
Please see below and share some of the links we will provide below!
The #GALatinoVote grows stronger every day and you must engage in all elections this year!
Please spread the word in social media and share this email as well!
Thank you!
The #GALatinoVote grows in strength and numbers! Help us engage our community and encourage them to vote.
The Georgia Latino Vote has grown a LOT!
Check out the news story about the growth in Georgia by our friends over at CBS News 46: http://www.cbs46.com/story/33285102/latino-voter-registration-sees-big-surge-in-georgia
Here is another indication of the growth of the Latino vote in Georgia: http://www.myajc.com/news/news/local-govt-politics/minority-voter-registration-surges/nsszT/ “The analysis showed black voter registration rose 20.5 percent statewide; Asian registration rose 40.7 percent; and Hispanic registration rose 46.2 percent.”
Latino voters showed up to vote in the primaries as well in record numbers!
http://washingtonmonthly.com/2016/10/31/latino-voters-could-swing-georgia-blue/#.WBdgXfoS0T0.twitter
In 2003, when we started as an organization, there were only 10,000 Latinos registered to vote. The latest estimate of the Latino electorate puts that strength at over 330,000 voters.

Volunteers needed to protect the #GALatinoVote for Election Day!
The 2016 Election is the FIRST presidential election without key protections of the Voting Rights Act (VRA), which means many Latinx/a/o voters across the country could face discrimination before Election Day. You can help prevent and stop discrimination at the polls. Sign up to volunteer with LatinoJustice & GALEO at #CadaVotoCuenta today:

Voter Guide by the League of Women Voters of Georgia!
The 2016 Online Voter Guide is a non-partisan resource for voters in Georgia. The Georgia Voter Guide is a product of the League of Women Voters of Georgia and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The League and the AJC do not endorse candidates and thoroughly believe that voters should judge candidates based on their own merits, ideas and platforms. We work very hard to provide an intelligent, equitable forum where that can occur.

Join us at a discussion on Equal Pay for Latinas on Nov 10th!
November 1st is Latina Equal Pay Day, which represents how far into 2016 Latinas have to work in order to earn what white men earned on average in 2015.
In 1963 when the Equal Pay Act was signed into law, women on average made 59 cents for every dollar made by men. Today Latinas only make 56 cents for every dollar earned by white men – shockingly Latinas actually earn less than women did in 1963!
We can do better!
The southeast regional office of the Women’s Bureau of the U.S Department of Labor will be hosting a discussion on the economic state of Latinas with leaders in Latino communities in honor of Latina Equal Pay Day. This discussion will be focused on existing barriers to closing the wage gap for Latinas, possible solutions to increase the compensation of Latinas and ways the Women’s Bureau can support Latino led organizations that are working to secure equal pay for Latinas.
Additional DOL agencies will also be present to participate in the discussion. We hope you will join us for this dynamic discussion on Latina Equal Pay.
