The Georgia Legislature continues it’s work, and unfortunately, they are considering several anti-immigrant initiatives. We need your help today to stop them from moving forward.
YOUR CALLS worked last week. SR675, English-only Constitutional Amendment was tabled on Friday. TODAY, we need your calls to continue to stop this and ask for NO VOTES on SR675, the English-only Constitutional Amendment. This is unnecessary and mean spirited that would paint Georgia as unwelcoming to foreigners and foreign investors. Also, we need to continue to express our opposition to measure to target DACA students with different driver’s licenses. SB6 is on the agenda today and it has been attempted to be modified several times and the evolution of a ban of access to driver’s licenses, to the scarlet letter version of posting “illegal alien” to these license, to even the proposed legislation today is something we do not want to move forward. Please call 1-877-721-4575! The recording will be explaining SB6, but use the same tool to express opposition to SR675, the English-only Constitutional Amendment.
