Catholic Charities: Family Reunification Specialist

Catholic Charities Atlanta is seeking candidates to fill two full-time Family Reunification Specialist positions. These positions are responsible for managing a case load of Safe Passages cases (cases involving services to unaccompanied children who are in immigration removal proceedings). The position involves regular communication with clients, travel to client homes around the N. GA area, and follow-up with community and legal providers to ensure that clients are connected to services. Candidates must be fully bilingual in both English and Spanish.

Position requirements: A bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or case management with at least one year of previous case management experience OR a master’s degree in social work, counseling, or other relevant field. Prior knowledge and experience with unaccompanied children and/or the Office of Refugee Resettlement preferred. A willingness and ability to work with clients, volunteers, and co-workers from multiple cultural backgrounds is required. Candidates must be fully bilingual in both English and Spanish. Candidate must have good interpersonal, verbal, and written skills in both languages. Flexibility for a non-traditional schedule including quite a bit of night and weekend work in client homes is needed. Candidate must have valid Georgia driver’s license, reliable personal transportation and current auto coverage.
