Core Responsibilities:
- Works with customers to obtain payments on accounts that are 30 and 60 or more days past due
- Follows a defined process of calls, collections and documentation
- Monthly cash intake goals
- Collaborate with Ames store managers to help customers resolve minor account discrepancies
- Work with Customer Service Associates to resolve customer issues
- Microsoft Office proficiency a must (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education & Experience:
Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school and two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requirements:
- Collections experience with a defined successful process
- Commercial collections experience
- Skip tracing experience
Language Skills:
The successful candidate will have the ability to read and interpret documents such as departmental reports and procedure manuals. Also the ability to write routine reports and correspondence is essential. Bilingual (Spanish) is required.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Must be able to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
