Since 1951, the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta has been connecting donors, nonprofits and community leaders to strengthen the 23-county Atlanta region through philanthropy. By uniting the passions of donors with the needs of the community, The Community Foundation serves as a conduit for change by providing quality services and innovative leadership on community issues. The Community Foundation’s donors are leaders who provide resources across the 23-county region to inspire and create positive change. Those resources have created a total asset base of more than$933 million, which
The Community Foundation uses as a philanthropic resource. The organization manages a variety of financial investment funds and provides expertise on our region’s nonprofit organizations, as well as their challenges and assets. In 2014 alone, The Community Foundation accepted more than $80.5 million in gifts to new and existing funds.
The Foundation understands it is often in its best interest to take a position on policy
issues, legislation, regulations, etc. To do so wisely, the posi
tion is established to provide
a mechanism to keep staff, boards and donors well

informed and able to participate from
a point of knowledge. This position will assist the Foundation to pursue a robust public
policy role to enhance support for the local non

profit sector and the Foundation’s
