The Atlanta Chapter of National Domestic Workers Alliance will host their 1st Hiring Fair. This event will connect Domestic Workers that are seeking employment with agencies or persons who are looking to hire skilled and available employees. There will be several employers from agencies seeking Nannies, Housecleaners, and Home Care workers. Also attending are agencies and persons that recognize and honor the value of domestic work and agree to ensuring fair pay, dignity, and respect in the workplace of Domestic Workers. In advance of the Hiring Fair, NDWA will be offering domestic workers assistance to build their portfolios. Join in on Thursday, March 23 at 6:30 pm for a Portfolio Party. There will be wine and light refreshments. Bring your resumes, cover letters, reference letters, and any other supporting documents printed or on a flash drive. You can also email them to Jacklyn. Members who need support in updating their resumes or cover letters should contact Jacklyn to make an appointment for assistance.

Policy Counsel – American Civil Liberties Union – GA
The American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia (ACLU of GA) seeks a sophisticated and experienced policy advocate to advance its civil liberties and civil rights agenda. The Policy Counsel provides vision and direction for the ACLU of Georgia’s policy and legislative program. The position is primarily responsible for state legislative and executive branch advocacy but also engages with administrative agencies, local government bodies, ballot measure campaigns, and the Georgia Congressional delegation. JD required and at least one year of local, state, and/or national-level legislative, political or policy advocacy work, preferably in Georgia. And, of course, substantial knowledge of civil liberties and civil rights issues and a commitment to advancing the ACLU’s values, mission and goals. Part-Time Executive Director – The Trolley Barn
The Trolley Barn is searching for a part-time Executive Director to be responsible for overseeing daily operations of an historic building located in the heart of the Inman Park neighborhood. The building is owned by a non-profit organization, The Atlanta & Edgewood Street Railway Company, which is governed by a Board of Directors. The primary funding for the operations of the building has come from event rentals. The Trolley Barn also serves non-profits and the community. Responsibilities include serving as the key person of reference for clients, external vendors, and staff. Experience in event facilities management and the ability to lead a team is important.
