Ms. Murvartian is a Senior Director at Equifax and an established leader in the community.
Prior to working at Equifax, Ms. Murvartian was the National Wine Director of WineStyles and owner of the development rights for the state of Georgia. Before venturing into the world of wine and owning her own business, Ms. Murvartian was the Director of Telecommunications and Financial Analysis at Turner Broadcasting.
Ms. Murvartian is a graduate of the 2014 Leadership Atlanta class and is the Founder and Chair of Fiesta De Libros, a non-profit library program that has served over 8,000 Latino children since 2012. Her involvement in the Latino community also includes being a board member of GALEO, a member of the Girl Scouts Hispanic Engagement Committee and is the immediate past President of the Atlanta Latina Business Women’s Association. She also works to support the thriving startup community in Atlanta with a focus on connecting Latino entrepreneurs to startup resources and funding.
Ms. Murvartian is a Woodrow Wilson Fellow and holds a Masters of Public Policy from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan with a focus on International Economics. She is a graduate of Hamline University in Minnesota where she graduated cum laude and finished her course work in 3 ½ years.
Ms. Murvartian’s personal story of being an undocumented migrant child who worked in the fields as well as corn and chicken processing plants with her parents to becoming a successful business woman and community leader has been featured on NPR’s StoryCorps, Mundo Hispanico (front cover September 17, 2010) and La Vision. She was selected to be an Olympic Torch bearer in 2001.
On a personal note, Ms. Murvartian resides in Johns Creek, has been married for 18 years to Michael Rhim who is a partner at Morris, Manning and Martin, LLP and has two children, Claudia (12) and Nicolas (14). Ms. Murvartian’s personal interests are traveling, running, biking and reading. She has traveled all over the world, is currently training for a marathon, has biked all 100 miles of the Silver Comet/ Chief Ladiga bike trail with her children and has been in the same book club for over 18 years.
