About The New Georgia Project: We are a non-profit, non-partisan organization committed to registering and civically engaging members of the New American Majority (NAM) in Georgia – people of color, those 18 to 29 years of age, and unmarried women.

Reporting: Position reports to the Executive Director, with substantial collaboration with NGP’s senior staff and partners.

Start Date: Immediately

Job Description: Field Director must be a true proactive catalyst in starting up programs and making change and progress happen quickly.The Field Director will be responsible for managing volunteer registration and voter contact programs, oversee data and analytics efforts, and will assist in the oversight of other field activities of the organization.

The primary focus of the Field Director’s activities will include:

·   Developing field plans for NGP.
·   Serving a key role in coordinating with our partners and allies.
·   Managing and training field and data staff and interns.
·   Designing and implementing a field training program for staff, allies, and activists.
·   Working with the voter file and other databases to identify targets for and monitor voter registration and education activities.

Qualifications: Strong mid to senior level field campaign experience, proven managerial skills, and the ability to motivate a team.  Leadership experience on a community, union, or political campaign or with a similar organization, and a strong understanding of how to build and manage a rigorous voter contact program in a fast-paced environment. Highly organized, with the ability to multi-task. Must have access to a reliable vehicle and valid drivers’ license. Proficiency with voter file software, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.

Location/Other Logistics: It is understood by all parties that this position requires significant amounts of time on a monthly and weekly basis. Though the position is located in Atlanta, Georgia, there is likely regular travel in and out of the state.  Special consideration will be given to candidates based in, or with ties to, Georgia.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
