JOB SUMMARY
SUMMARIZE THE OVERALL PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB:

 

Full time position. Under minimal direction, this position will be responsible for managing the procurement of all current and future products in portfolio in an efficient and cost effective manner. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Responsible for the management of Procurement Department.
  • Interview, hire and train employees in Procurement Department.
  • Responsible for evaluating employee performance and making adjustments when and where problems exist.
  • Responsible for communicating & working with Marketing Managers, Regional Managers & Warehouse Managers on a consistent basis.
  • Responsible for tracking and operating within assigned yearly budgets.
  • Analyzes inventory levels to ensure core inventory is always in stock.
  • Responsible for having working knowledge of key information tools (i.e. Diver) and being able to analyze inventory.
  • Responsible for continual self-education and knowledge of new and existing products in the company portfolio as well as competitive portfolios.
  • Oversee the procurement of all commodities to ensure accurate inventory levels and days-on-hand requirements.
  • Manage and monitor freight related costs to ensure the most economical and efficient procurement of product.
  • Responsible for communicating daily with management on inventory related issues.
  • Responsible for monitoring computer generated forecasts to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Responsible for showing professionalism in all of the following areas at all times attire, conduct, time management, proper & thorough follow up, presentations/proposals & relationships.
  • Responsible for adhering to all company policies & procedures.
  • Carry out all phases of job responsibilities as directed by upper management.
  • Work in conjunction with the office staff, warehouse, delivery, sales, finance, information systems and human resources to ensure a teamwork atmosphere and maintain a positive attitude.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, CERTIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES TO ENTER POSITION:
  • High school diploma required.
  • 4-year college degree preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience working in procurement required.
  • 2 years previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous work experience in the alcoholic beverage industry preferred.
  • Must be able to manage minimum staff of 3 full-time employees.
  • Must be able to prioritize and work in a rapidly changing, fast growth environment.
  • Must have above average analytical and communication skills.
  • Must have intermediate computer skills to include, but not limited to Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
  • Must have and maintain valid driver’s license.
  • Must have and maintain reliable transportation.
  • Must have and maintain required 100/300/100 liability limits on personal vehicle insurance.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain acceptable background checks (i.e. references, police bkgd, etc)
  • Motor Vehicle Record will be pulled to establish employment eligibility:

·          Cannot have more than 2 moving violations in a 3 year period (i.e. moving and/or accidents)

·          Cannot have reckless driving, hit-and-run or DUT in previous 5 years
