The Center for Learning and Innovation (CLI) of the Population Health Division, San Francisco Department of Public Health, is excited to announce that the Summer HIV/AIDS Research Program is now accepting applications.
SHARP is a paid 11-12 week NIH-supported summer research program where undergraduates are paired with experienced HIV research mentors to conduct meaningful projects, attend weekly seminars and workshops led by internationally recognized experts on HIV prevention and treatment and network with other scholars and young investigators. SHARP is designed to inspire students from underrepresented communities in health research to pursue further studies and careers in public health-oriented clinical, socio-behavioral, and community-focused research. Selected scholars will also have the opportunity to shadow clinical trial and community outreach staff and attend community consultations on research.

Housing Request
Students from all over the nation apply to SHARP and due to limited housing availability and the cost of living in SF, we try to provide assistance where we can. A limited number of supplemental housing stipends are also available to support out of jurisdiction scholars. If you have a lead on a sublet, apartment or room available May-September please send the information to me and I will connect the appropriate parties.
