Make-A-Wish® Georgia: Volunteers needed

We are delighted to know that you are interested in volunteering your time to help grant wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.  We believe that our volunteers are the key in helping fulfill our mission by providing hope, strength and joy through their service.

Currently, we do have available opportunities to become a Wish Granting Volunteer for individuals 21 years or older. Wish granting volunteers work directly with our Wish Families and Wish Coordinators to help discover and grant the heartfelt wish of the child. This opportunity requires that you successfully complete a background check, attend Wish Granting training, and that you can commit to complete at least 3 wishes per year. We have estimated that each wish takes an average of 10 hours to complete. Macy also mentioned that you both speak Spanish. We have a huge need for bilingual volunteers, so this is great!

In addition to becoming a wish granting volunteer, we do have a need for Event Volunteers for individuals 18 years or older. Event volunteers serve on an as needed basis.  Depending on the event, volunteers may be asked to assist with pre-planning, set-up and/or day of event volunteering.

If you are interested in becoming an Event and/or Wish Granter would be, we would love to have you begin the volunteer process by completing the attached volunteer application.  The application will help us determine your interest and desires for volunteering.  Once you have completed and returned the application, I will be happy to provide you with next steps.

Note: page 4 and 5 of the application must be physically signed.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me!

For wishes,
Priscilla
