• Program Coordinator, Pedro Viloria, represented GALEO in Sutton Middle School’s Career Fair

November 18:

• GALEO Institute for Leadership at Georgia State University Goizueta scholars: Group Dynamics module with facilitator Kelli Persons.

December 3:

• Jennifer Zenteno attended FWD.us’ Digital Accelerator Training in Austin, Texas from 12/3 – 12/6

December 5:  

• J. Gonzalez, GALEO, participated in the Sapelo Foundation 2020 Census three day retreat at Musgrove on St. Simmon’s Island.

December 7:

• Harvey Soto attended ADL’s program on law and Civil Rights which had representatives from the FBI, GBI, US attorney’s office, and local law enforcement. There was discussion over the processes to report and prosecute Civil Rights infringements and which statutes defend those civil rights against Hate Crimes as well.

December 8:

• GALEO assisted in citizenship clinic lead by CPACS and the Latin American Association

December 10:  

• J. Gonzalez, GALEO, participated in ProGeorgia new Board Member orientation call.

December 11:  

• J. Gonzalez, GALEO, participated in Latinx For Democracy Debrief phone conference.  
• J. Gonzalez, GALEO, is interviewed by La Voz Latina from Savannah regarding our work in 2018 and pending work in 2019.

December 12:  

• J. Gonzalez, GALEO, attended planning meeting with the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights Georgia State Advisory Committee.

December 13:

• J. Gonzalez, GALEO, attended meeting with the Urban League of Atlanta.

December 14:

• Program Coordinator, Pedro Viloria, met with GALEO Leadership Council (GLC) Marketing & Communications Committee

December 17:

• J. Gonzalez, GALEO, chaired a meeting of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights Georgia State Advisory Committee.  
• J. Gonzalez, GALEO, attended ProGeorgia Board meeting.

December 18:  

• J. Gonzalez, GALEO, convened the 2020 Census Georgia Latino Complete Count Committee with community partners.

December 19:  

• Harvey Soto and J. Gonzalez, GALEO, joined Georgia Power’s Project Manager, Christopher T. Williams, for lunch and discussion on 2019

• J. Gonzalez, GALEO, participated in Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation Leadership phone conference.    
• GALEO Staff visited Nuevolution! exhibit at the Atlanta History Center, which featured GALEO’s work in civic engagement.
